INVOLVE promotes and supports public involvement in NHS, public health and social care research and development. An NIHR programme, it believes that involving members of the public leads to research that is more relevant to people's needs, more reliable and more likely to be used.
INVOLVE produces publications for researchers and members of the public and publishes a quarterly newsletter. It has developed a database of research projects where you can find out what others are doing. It organises workshops, seminars and conferences on public involvement in research where you can hear about the experience of others and share your knowledge. Further details can be found on the INVOLVE website at www.invo.org.uk.
People in Research
People in Research helps members of the public make contact with organisations that want to actively involve them in clinical research. It is a UK Clinical Research Collaboration project led by its Partner organisation, INVOLVE. Website: www.peopleinresearch.org
