RfPB: Programme Director

“Health care practitioners are in daily touch with patients and their needs. Both groups deserve a role in shaping the research agenda and creating the evidence base that will improve patients’ lives. This new NIHR programme is about exactly this, and I am delighted to be associated with it.”

Professor Celia Davies, Director, NIHR Research for Patient Benefit Programme

Director's Message 5 (Randomised Controlled trials)

Director's Message 5 considers the submission of Randomised Controlled Trials (RCTs) and addresses five questions in considering such applications: Is now the right time for a full-scale trial? Does this team have a real chance of success with an RCT? How well-defined is the intervention and the outcome? Have common pitfalls concerning data collection and data analysis been addressed? Are the arrangements for trial governance satisfactory? For further information please follow the link below.
